In Hastapur village located on Aligarh Road under Iglas Kotwali area, a teenager snatched a bag of money from a couple who was withdrawing money from the bank and ran away with a young man riding a bike. The incident by the accused teenagers has been recorded on CCTV. Kotwali police and SOG team are busy investigating the incident.
Manju Devi, resident of village Rampur Vidirika, says that she along with her disabled husband Anil Kumar had come in an e-rickshaw to withdraw money from the branch of Gramin Bank of Aryavarta located in village Hastapur at around 12 noon. He had to withdraw money from here and deposit it in the State Bank of India Agricultural Development branch located in town Iglas. She took out three lakh fifty thousand rupees from the bank and kept it in her bag and came out and sat in the e-rickshaw.
Meanwhile, a teenager started trying to forcibly sit in the rickshaw. The woman says that when she refused, he pushed her, snatched the bag of money and ran away with the young man who was already standing nearby with a bike. By the time the victim raised an alarm, people could gather at the spot, but before that the accused managed to escape.
On receiving information about the incident, CO Dr. Krishna Gopal Singh, Kotwal Surendra Kumar Pandey reached the spot with the police team. The victim has given an application regarding the incident. The accused teenager has been captured in CCTV. The CO said that the incident with the couple was carried out by two unknown youths. Four police teams including SOG have been formed to unveil the incident, the incident will be unveiled soon.
